While Chinese medicine works best in combination with acupuncture, there may be times when a simple herbal consultation is needed. This is sometimes the case with sick children, or with long-term treatment. In this case, the practitioner will spend some time speaking with the patient, and assessing what symptoms are present and what has changed. Then, while the patient waits, the herbs are prepared in our on-site pharmacy. It is also possible to have a phone consultation, in which case the herbs can either be picked up or mailed. Total time is approximately 30 minutes. Our commitment is to have health care available in whatever way that works best for our patients.
