Give them the tools to be strong and fight back. Ear tubes and antibiotics won’t help your child develop a strong immune system. In fact, antibiotic use has been shown to triple the chances of getting sick again within the next 4-6 weeks. Often children will get sick on a monthly basis and antibiotics are part of the reason. It does not help that their peers are sick also and so the colds just circulate around. It does not have to be this way. Children can resist colds and flues using Chinese medicine. We really enjoy using the Japanese no-needle acupuncture techniques on children because they are so easy to treat. Children do not have the long medical histories adults have and their energy can change very quickly. Giving children the legacy of a healthy childhood is invaluable as we are now seeing the difference it can make in adults. Many adults who we treat suffer from imbalances that began in childhood. It takes substantially longer to treat these adults than it would have taken as children.
